School of Discipleship (SOD) provides the opportunity to renew the mind. There, believers grow in relationship with God, and discover and embrace their ministries to the Body, and grow in leadership principles. SOD was carefully developed to address the crucial components of spiritual formation, ministry skills and gifts development, leadership skills and execution, and growth through mentorship by other leaders.
SOD consists of three levels; each level consists of ten weeks of training with two lessons per week. Therefore, SOD provides sixty lessons given over a nine-month period.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- PowerPoint Presenter – will assist the teacher with PowerPoint slide presentation. PowerPoints Presentation will be placed in the Media Google Classroom for Volunteers to retrieve and have ready for class. Presenters must have a reliable computer and internet connection. Should report in class at least 15 minutes before start time. The volunteer in this role will work closely with the Team leader who oversees this area.
- Host – will be responsible for the class they are hosting. They will take the attendance of students. They will also encourage students to turn their camera on in the event it’s off. They will mute students during class time. They will ensure that class ends within the specified timeframe by notifying the teachers when they have 10 minutes & 5 minutes remaining. They should report in class at least 15 minutes before the start of class. The volunteer in this role will work closely with the Team leader who oversees this area.

SOD Hospitality Team
The Hospitality team serve seasonally and are only scheduled to assist the Ministry at our Breakfast and Award Celebration events that take place one Saturday a quarter from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.
