Holy Spirit led ministry where we show new believers’ compassion, love, and support to reinforce their continued walk with God. We provide comfort, hope, and encouragement so they will not go astray. We keep them connected to the body of Christ through a 6-week discussion guided small group that prepares new believers for the next step in the transformational journey at CLC. Discussion topics include Bible, Prayer, Community Life, Water Baptism, and Living a Life of Worship.
Water Baptism Team
Jesus gave all His followers the command to be baptized in water. See Matthew 28:18-20. The Water Baptism team facilitates the process from start to finish. Leading up to the baptism by calling all baptism candidates and helping to facilitate the baptism orientation. On the day of the baptism by setting up/ breaking down the tables, tents and signs or check in and T- shirts distribution, lead prayer, pass out communion elements, witness to people on the beach, or take photos, and post on social media. Printing, and mailing out baptismal certificates along with a follow up call and prayer all happen post baptism.
- The Baptism Team serves on a quarterly basis on Saturday mornings
New Believer Connection Altar Team
One of the most Holy and sacred moments in a CLC worship experience can be when a person makes the ultimate decision to surrender their will and follow Jesus. As an altar team member, you will pray for God to open blind eyes and set the captives free in every CLC worship service. You will get the awesome privilege of coming along side new believers in the altar, praying with them and ensuring they understand the decision they just made. Walking them through the process of texting “Decision” to ensure they get receive a Next Step book and get connected to the Next Step community. Also, asking the new believer for their number and making the follow up call to pray with them and inviting them to the Nest Step discussion group, is a key step to getting all new believers connected at CLC.
