Business, Finance & HR Director
Opportunity Description
Oversee the business, finance, and human resources functions of Christian Life Center and its five schools. This individual will serve as a key steward of the organization’s financial and operational integrity, ensuring accountability, compliance, and excellence across all areas of responsibility. The ideal candidate is a Christ-centered servant leader who demonstrates exceptional integrity, meticulous attention to detail, sound judgment, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Educational Requirements
- Master’s degree in accounting and minimum 10 years of experience in accounting
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Human Resource
Responsibilities:
Business –
- Corporate Filings – 990 forms for preschools
- 501c3 Tax Exemption Renewal
- Annual Business Reporting
- Vendor contracts review
- Lease Agreements
- Manage insurance renewals for commercial and health
- Process insurance coverage on newly purchased properties
- Process any lawsuits and or claims (complete forms and get them to appropriate organization; contact department for written detailed explanation surrounding the incident)
Financial –
- Oversee weekly counting of offering & Weekly Deposit Report
- Oversee full cycle accounting in the church and schools
- Monthly close and bank reconciliations
- Financial Reporting for Board of Directors
- Prepare data for annual audit review by external auditor
- Preparation & consolidate annual budgets for church & school
- Manage the organizational budget comparison monthly
- Oversee and review benevolence requests for Board or Trustees
Human Resources –
- Oversee and facilitate human resource activity
- Manage HR related employee issues
- On-Boarding & Orientation process for new hires
- Review Exiting Interview with terminated/resigned employees
- Annual Audits for worker’s compensation
- Process and review payroll for church and schools
- Process WC claims through insurance company for church and school incidents
- Process student accident claim for schools
- Maintain and administer the pastoral housing allowance sheet
- Manage and oversee retirement and health benefits
- Oversee and disburse annual W-2 and 1099 forms
- Process Staff Assessment profiles
- Oversee Front-Desk operations
- Coordinate Christmas Luncheon/ Staff Events
Needed Strengths & Skillset
- Demonstrate knowledge of accounting principles and human resource compliance
- Leadership skills
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledgeable of Sage Intacct
- Minimum of 3 years managerial experience
Schedule:
- Monday Through Friday schedule
- 50-hour workweek
- Some Sundays and special events may be required

- Report to the Executive Director of Operations
- Interface with Trustees & Senior Pastor
